Our Story
STATS4TRADE began as a personal project by Jean-Marc Guillard several years ago. Jean-Marc did not want to soley rely on subjective information – say from the internet or advice from colleagues and friends – to make active trading decisions. For example when is the optimum time to buy or sell a security? Moreover he wanted to avoid only relying on passive strategies (particulary in Europe where indices have been stagnant and even declined over the past years), while minimizing risk and saving fees.
As a result Jean-Marc developed applications that integrate modern machine-learning methods in a cloud-computing environment to objectively make buy/sell decisions for a wide-range of securities in the context of active investment strategies.
Now that the applications are mature enough, Jean-Marc, Mike Stafne and their fellow colleagues are helping to make forecast data and investment frameworks from STATS4TRADE available to fund managers while using the same applications for their own trading purposes.
